Other Upcoming Fundraisers
And How You Can Help
Please remember our car show on Saturday August 29th, 2009 at the Fox Service Center located at 849 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, Missouri, next to Fox High School. Registration starts at 8:00 am to noon with awards presented at 4:00 pm. We will have a great barbecue prepared by our caterer Tom Lochirco, raffles, 50/50 and more. If you would like to rent a booth please e-mail me at email@example.com. Thank you to Bob and Kevin at Advance Auto Parts Stores for their help with organizing this car show.
HOW YOU CAN HELP Please donate soda and water for this event and for the La Russa barbecue. Your $3.99 donation for 24 bottles of water, for example, could grow to $24.00 or $36.00 depending on how much we charge for each bottle. You can drop them off the day of the car show or at our drop off lunch/dinner event (we prefer this and makes it easier for us to prepare). This time we are having it at Chilis located at Arnold Commons in Arnold, Missouri on Thursday August 27th. ADOPT will receive 10% of your food purchase all day long including happy hour. However you must say you are with ADOPT and ask for a voucher. Chilis is also donating chips and salsa for the car show for us to sell. They may put up a booth to sell food items and donate everything to ADOPT. So lets support Chilis for supporting us. Once again you must tell your waitress that you are with ADOPT so we receive 10% of your total food bill. An ADOPT volunteer will be at Chilis accepting your donations of water and soda from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday August 27th.
Wine Tasting Dinner
Pet Fashion Show fundraiser
Mark your calendars for Friday September 18th from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Villa Antonio Winery. Go to www.villaantoniowinery.com to learn more. If you have never been to this winery you are missing an adorable place. There will be great auction items, raffles, gourmet doggy treats, Recycled Jewelry Doggie Bags (Grab Bags devoted entirely to your pet), music, dinner (appetizer-dessert) wine tasting, attendance prizes and more all for the entirely low price of $35.00 per ticket.
HOW YOU CAN HELP Just come and have a great time. E-mail all your friends, family and your entire e-mail list about any of our events. Please consider donating an item for this event. Once again you can buy tickets for the Wine Tasting Dinner and drop off donated items at Chilis, the Car show, and at the La Russa Luncheon/barbecue
Lend A Helping Paw Campaign
Over 24 Jefferson County Banks and retail stores are participating in the first annual Lend a Helping Paw campaign. We are planning a similar campaign for restaurants in the spring.
Land Land Land
We are on the verge of receiving six acres of free land from the county. This acreage is very visible from new Hwy 21 and is next to the newly built Juvenile Detention Center. The center is working on the possibility of animal therapy to help the children. With the facility next to the center, the children could work with the animals and help volunteer. And of course the animals could give them a sense of well being with their unconditional love. This acreage would be a win/win for all. I will keep all of you informed about the land deal.Your support has meant a lot to me. And I cannot begin to tell you how much it means to the homeless animals. Once the facility is built it is estimated that we will save over 6000 or more homeless pets per year and give them the chance at forever homes. However we are not there yet and I hope that all of you will help or attend one or all four of the upcoming fundraisers. The Tony La Russa luncheon/barbecue is especially exciting with the Cardinals in first place at the moment. And donations are always welcome which can be sent to ADOPT P.O. Box 155 Fenton, Mo. 63026
