Another Petland Store Closes.....Hudson Gives A High Paws Up To All The Incredible Protestors Who Educate The Public On These Puppy Mill Outlets

See below for news on another Petland closing (Arlington Heights, IL) and a summary of recent closures/number of remaining Petland stores.

Also, during the protest today (every SUnday from 12-2) at the Lake St Louis Petland, in addition to the usual honks, waves and thumbs ups showing support, a woman and her husband told one of the protestors they would never shop there again and a woman with her 2 small children told this protestor they had educated her and instead of going to Petland to look for a puppy (she was on her way to do so) she was going to Petco to check out the dogs available for adoption. It's little victories like these that keep them going. Thanks to the loyal protesters out there every week; and if you've never joined them, consider doing so--they are making a difference.

Petland Store in Arlington Heights Closing

The economic recession has hit many business hard, including Petland. They can no longer keep their store open due to increased rent and other rising costs. Everything in the store is 30% off (supplies and fixtures). Animals are negotiable. Come in early before it’s all gone! No official closing date has been announced.

They are falling like autumn leaves. Three closed in August, two in December, two in January, and now three more in the first week of February. Down to 81 US stores, 73 selling puppies ± kittens. And all Canada Petland stores now do not sell puppies or kittens. The pace is picking up!
