We need your help today!

As you all know on March 5, 2014, we celebrated a major victory in the City of Chicago with the passing of the Companion Animal and Consumer Protection Ordinance. This ordinance makes it illegal for pet stores in Chicago to sell dogs, cats and rabbits sourced from commercial breeding facilities beginning in March of 2015. We are not done yet!! Cook County Commissioner John Fritchey is sponsoring similar legislation at the County level and you can help get it passed. If you live in Cook County, please take a minute to call or email the Cook County Commissioners listed here. Ask them to support the Companion Animal and Consumer Protection Ordinance in Cook County. Let them know how important this legislation is and that pet store owners who choose to sell commercially bred animals using cruel and inhumane business models, are not welcome in the suburbs of Chicago.
