Take a moment to and take a look at this beautiful girl who lost her life from being overbred. Rescue gave her a second chance at life. But her body just wasn't strong enough.
Rip Sally, Run Free
Devastated to tell you all that we lost our Mamma girl Sally, early this AM. She was the Mamma from the MS shelter, who we were getting out today, with her 5 pups. We got the call Fri AM that she was hemorrhaging in the shelter. We had her brought to the vet where they did an emergency surgery & spay. She was very high HW+, ehrlichia, & the vets thought she would pull through. When i spoke to them last eve, she was weak, but stable - but this AM they said her body just couldn't handle all the issues she had, & she was too weak to recover. They feel she was about 6 yrs old, & had been bred many times over, her body was in "horrible condition" they said, & just had no reserves left to fight. Her puppies are in our care, safe & sound. One of Sallys pups will carry on her name ... & all will carry on the life Sally SHOULD have had ... & WOULD have had once in our care ... but for some reason, one Ill never know, it wasn't meant to be for this sweet girl Godspeed sweet girl. You WERE loved.
