Legislative Update in Chicago From The Puppy Mill Project ....

Cropped
Legislative Update:
Companion Animal and Consumer Protection Ordinance

.

Please join City Clerk Susana A. Mendoza, The Puppy Mill Project, and a growing coalition of Chicago aldermen to help pass an ordinance to promote animal adoption, end the sale of puppy mill dogs in Chicago, and protect our citizens!
The Companion Animal and Consumer Protection ordinance limits the retail sale of dogs and cats from pet stores to animals sourced from government-run shelters (such as Chicago Animal Care and Control) and nonprofit rescue organizations or humane societies.
We are honored to have worked with Clerk Mendoza on this initiative.
We need your help to pass this legislation. We must show the Chicago City Council that the public supports this ordinance. You can help by doing the following:
If you live outside of Chicago, please ask your friends and family in Chicago to contact the aldermen listed above and thank them for supporting the ordinance. Only city of Chicago residents should contact the aldermen.

It is very important to let Chicago's leaders know that the public overwhelmingly supports this ordinance! Please help us send a message and make Chicago the next humane city!
