Here is a sad, cautionary tale.
A colleague sent me this picture. It is an xray of a 15 week old puppy's abdomen.
You can see the foreign object, and when I tell you that it is an iPhone cord, you can probably see that that is the case.
Most times when pups eat crazy stuff like this, the clever vet can get it out, or maybe the even cleverer pup can pass it unassisted.
But in this case, sadly, the little dog died before getting a chance at surgery. It turns out that your iPhone cord contains (amongst other stuff) significant amounts of zinc and lead. This little pup turned up at my colleague's practice quite profoundly sick with heavy metal toxicosis, and he died before the treatment had a chance to work.
Very sad.
Keep an eye on your smart phone cord!
