Know Your Facts About Pet Stores .......

If your comfortable BUYING from a breeder through a PET STORE please know the facts first and do your homework. Just remember when you are buying an adorable puppy at a pet store it isn't the puppy you are saving. It is the parent dogs that are stuck often times in horrible conditions suffering their entire lives churning out liter after liter for profit with no regards to their own health and in miserable conditions. I know the average animal lover would be in tears at how these parent dogs must live and I'm using the word live loosely here folks.  Therefore when you pay for the incredibly over priced puppy you are only keeping them in business and condemning the parent dog to a life of sheer misery often. We as a society can so easily be duped by titles like Designer dog when in reality a designer dog is nothing more than a mixed breed but because a fancy title was thrown in there now we want to rush to get this DESIGNER dog. Please I'd love to show you hundreds of DESIGNER dogs that are so adoptable and would make amazing loyal pets at your local shelters and rescues. If you are going to buy from a breeder then GO TO THEIR BREEDING FACILITY and DEMAND to see where the parent dogs are living and how they are being treated. Don't meet them halfway (they will tell you this is so you don't have to drive all the way to their place) when in reality they don't want you to see how many dogs they are breeding. An elderly couple opened up a pet store on MId Rivers and people who were buying from them said they have to be a good place because they told us so and they are elderly and look like someones grandparents. After Channel 2 did an investigative story on them and showed how they were breeding over 1000 dogs suddenly the state closed them down. Until then they went unnoticed because we want what we want and don't want to wait a minute when we decide we want it !!! Please do your homework and start with rescues and shelters across your state. Thanks and have a wonderful day !!!
