Also the map attached showing the Number of Licensed Breeders and Dealers, in some places, have gone DOWN (-) considerably, and in other places have gone UP (+). Barry County alone had 94 Breeders/Dealers....it is good to see that there is only 49 and the number is down from what it was. What is funny is that 49 breeders are still "more" than what most States have as a whole....
Meet the NEW Director of the Missouri Dept. of Agriculture (attached memo). He replaced Dr. Hagler. In his article he, of course, did not mention that Missouri is still home to the most concentrated area of Puppy Mills.
Here is the USDA web site where they post the inspection reports for everyone regulated by their agency! With this, they can search by state, customer type (breeder, dealer, etc), whether they are still active or not, and other criteria. With regard to Class B Dealers....there was a comment made on someone who did some research on each Dealer in the 90's. Listen to what they had to say, "
