Looking For A Puppy .....

September 4, 2013

Dear Friends of Petraits,

Blinky (Petraits attached) is an utterly adorable, gentle, snuggly, social, friendly and extremely sweet, eight-week-old, 1.8 pound, female Chihuahua puppy looking for a loving guardian.

When the puppy’s mother decided she had enough of motherhood, she bit the face of her baby causing irreparable damage to her eye. The family she lived with couldn’t afford vet care, so they dropped her off at Chicago Animal Care and Control. Lucky for Blinky, a representative of Friends of CACC noticed the puppy being turned in. The puppy was screaming in pain. So, Friends immediately brought the puppy to an emergency vet who removed the damaged eye.

Now, she’s out of pain and quickly adjusting to life with one eye. She's a happy, bouncy, silly puppy looking for a wonderful family who will be devoted to her for the rest of her life.

Blinky is doing beautifully with her paper-training, and learning to walk on leash. She is very healthy, and will be spayed, and complete her vaccines and micro-chip at an appropriate age. To meet and possibly adopt Blinky, please contact her rescuer Charlie at cpropsom@sbcglobal.net
or 773-743-5760. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Blinky’s emergency vet bill was over $1,000, but in a situation like this … Friends didn’t blink an eye when there was a pup in need … To help support Friends of CACC, please join in on their biggest and most fun fundraiser of the year … BIG NIGHT which takes place Thursday, September 26th from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 East Washington Street.
