Won't You Consider Adopting Stitch ?

Stitch ...
is a snuggly, sweet, adorable, loving, dog and people-friendly, seven-pound, five-year-old, male fawn and white Min Pin/Chihuahua-mix looking for a loving guardian.

He is a sweet and lovable little guy who is full of kisses and tail wags. He dances on his hind legs for treats and is housebroken and well-behaved in the home. In fact, his foster mom doesn't feel the need to crate him at all and says he's fine when left home alone.

While he co-mingles just fine with other dogs, he's not very playful with them. Stitch knows the commands "sit," "let's eat," "outside" and his name.

He walks nicely on leash and loves his long daily walks! He enjoys being in your arms, cuddled and kissed. He is wonderful with people - however, he does get frightened if you startle him - since he only has one eye. He is also protective of those he loves, and resource guards select toys and food; positive reinforcement training would benefit him greatly to help him succeed in his new home. For that reason, he is recommended for homes without small children.

He likes to chase other creatures from raccoons to house flies, so a secure harness is necessary at all times while outdoors.

He is currently fostered in Rogers Park where he lives with two other Chihuahua mixes. Stitch usually sleeps in bed with his foster mom, but sometimes opts for the couch.

Stitch is very healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and heartworm-tested.
