Best Friends Animal Society Wants Rights of Dog Owners Protected.....

Best Friends Animal Society MO: You can help families and their pets by supporting HB 1116 in Committee. Send the General Laws Committee an email today! Take Action! Dear Members and Friends, Right now, it’s legal for local governments in Missouri to restrict people’s right to have any dog breed or breed mix they choose. That’s something that very few Americans agree with. In fact, a whopping 84% of Americans feel that federal, state and local governments shouldn’t be allowed to tell people what breed of dog they can or cannot have. HB 1116 protects Missouri citizens’ freedom to choose whatever breed of dog they like. A hearing will be held in the General Laws Committee, Tuesday, February 11, at noon. Please take action today by calling your state House representative and letting him or her know that you support this bill. To call, you can find out who your state representative is at this link: http://www.house.mo.gov/. Also, please express your support by sending an email to all the General Laws Committee members. It only takes a few moments. Thanks so much for your help. Together, we can Save Them All®. Ledy V, Sr. Legislative Attorney If you have a question or concern about animal welfare please email info@bestfriends.org
