Faith is trying to get help for these dogs and more at this shelter. Many, many full blooded, desirable, adoptable breeds (many not on their petfinder site). Here is their website with contact info and links to petfinder http://ssomail.charter.net/do/redirect?url=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.petfinder.com%252Fshelters%252FMO149.html If anyone's interested they should call this shelter immediately. They are very friendly and welcome rescue, as well as adoption of course. These dogs Faith snapped pics of need help, especially the bigger ones! Here's what Faith knows about them.
The first is an 11 m/o female shar-pei, named Bella, very sweet, calm, came right up to Faith, owner surrender, can't afford - needs medical trt for eyes asap, no shots ever by owner (why did they get the puppy to begin with). Faith lost her ID# but you should be able to call and reference her by name and age. I believe she also came in on the 20th, if that helps. She needs out asap! The second is a 10-11 m/o male boxer, unaltered, HW+, 2nd offense. They know who the owners are (he's microchipped) but the owners won't return their calls (he only has until Fri 2/27), he came in on 2/11. Super sweet, just loved to be petted, a very handsome fellow. He's in kennel "E". This last one is a teeny tiny boxer (probably mix) puppy, not sure of gender. loved that underbite! He is so cute & funny your typical puppy. He might be more likely to get adopted locally. It's the other 2 she is really worried about, especially the HW+ boxer as he only has until Friday. They are running out of room! Yesterday when she was there a guy brought in a litter of mixed breed puppies, someone had dumped them on his property. They didn't even know where they were going to put them. This shelter has their usual lineup plus many dogs from that recent puppy mill raid in Southwest, MISSOURI.
Contact Faith for more information at f_welker@swbell.net or the shelter. Right after the f in her email is a lower line before welker starts.
