New Director at Spay and Neuter

Spay & Neuter Kansas City, Missouri
SNKC has just selected our new Director of Volunteer and Pet Outreach Programs. We received lots of applications and interviewed many wonderful people, and the decision was tough, but we are very pleased to announce that we have chosen Tamara Scharfenkamp to join our team.
A life-long pet owner and animal advocate, Tamara has over 15 years' experience working with non-profit organizations, 13 of which were focused in Mental Health advocacy and 2 years in education. She holds an MS in Counseling Psychology and a BS in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
Tamara is an Animal Health Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer and current pack leader to Aphrodite the Dalmation, Osiris the Red Heeler, and Jakk the Jack Russell Terrier. The three dogs and her two domestic shorthair cats, Aristotle and Siddhartha, are all rescues she is honored to have in her life. She also shares her life with human, Rick, her significant other and partner in adventure.
"I'm excited to be involved with such a great organization," says Tamara. "Volunteering makes me feel alive, and I am looking forward to sharing my passion for volunteer work and compassion toward animals with everyone at Spay & Neuter KC and in the community."
We're very excited to have such a talented and passionate individual on our team, and we're looking forward to working with Tamara and seeing all the great things she has planned for SNKC!
Sincerely,
Michelle Dormady
